When it comes to blowing off your lawn or sweeping it clean of debris or leaves, we want to do it easily and efficiently. All blowers rather they are lithium battery or gas will blow hard enough to get it all in a pile. When it comes to small cleanups around the home, lithium powered leaf blowers provide that ease over gas powered ones.

Why Lithium Power Over Gas Power?

When it comes to small cleanups, average homes, using the lithium powered blowers has an advantage over gas blowers.

For one, the lithium blower is lighter in weight which makes it easier to handle and it also has the advantage in the fact that starting it up is simpler. With the gas blower, you have to pull start it which sometimes is a chore in itself.

Then there is mixing the oil in with the gas which calls for breathing in the gas fumes while using a gas blower.

Gas blowers, on the other hand,  have the advantage if you are doing huge jobs or multiple jobs one behind the other as doing a lawn service calls for. This is because the lithium powered blower has to take time out for recharge.

A Good Lithium Powered Blower

One lithium powered blower that is a great product to invest in is the GreenWorks Digi Pro G-max 40v. Blower/Vac. It is very easy to use and produces a 185 mph wind gust which will blow everything in a pile with no problem. It is much quieter to use as with all lithium powered equipment.

After you have used the Green Works Blower to blow your leaves into a pile you can switch it into vac mode and pick them all up. This will reduce your effort of work by eliminating so much raking and bagging making your job easier to do. Check out what Abby has to say below.

Conclusion

The lithium powered blowers will not only reduce the noise and help the environment in a few ways, but it will make your job much easier than the gas blower. If you are just maintaining your own lawn, this is a great product to have in your home.

If you are like me, you want to work smart not hard. Feel free to view other lithium powered equipment here at Lithium Power Plus on this website.

Hi, I am curious about the environmental impact of buying a lithium blower compared to a gas blower. One uses gas while the other uses a mineral mined from the ground. So which one do you think is more sustainable? You mentioned briefly that the lithium blower is better for the environment… why ?

      • Because there are no gas fumes to be expelled into the air. It is also good at reducing the noise that gas powered equipment makes. I can’t argue the fact of how it is made but I can certainly say it is better than polluting the air.

    2. Brandi says:

Personally, I prefer lithium over gas!

    3. Bill says:

Hello. You have given me some valuable information at the exact right time. My wife and I have plans to buy a blower this weekend and you helped me make my choice. Lithium it is! Thank-you

    4. Daniel says:

When I was growing up everything was either gas powered or electric. I agree with you that having to start a gas powered anything can be a real chore at times. Having to figure the oil ratio/gas mixture is also a hassle. Not to mention the fumes your breathing in. I would go with a lithium powered blower over gas simply because of the convenience. Thank you for sharing this great article!

      • And I could not stress those points better. Over all it is more convenient to use Lithium powered equipment. Plus it is lighter in weight making it more manageable. If you decide to try some of the equipment I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

    5. Brendan says:

To be honest, I didn’t know that lithium blowers were so much better than gas blowers. I am only a college student so I do not need one right now, but I will definitely check back into lithium leaf blowers, mowers, etc. when I need it. This is great and informative content that I hope everyone gets to read. Thank you for the content!

      • Keep in mind that there are two sides to this. Lithium power is better as far as being eco-friendly and if you plan to use it for lawns that are not really large. You have to remember they will call for recharge and if you are trying to cover more than the average size home you might have to let it charge back up to finish a job. Most homeowners if only doing their property will benefit having any Lithium powered equipment.
